A cyclotron is a device that uses magnetic and electric fields together to make charged particles move in a cyclotron motion, in which they are repeatedly accelerated by a high-frequency electric field. It is an important instrument in high-energy physics.
Raysov inductive electron cyclotron has a high cost performance, the purchase cost is 50-65% of the same level (4 MeV. linear gas pedal, post maintenance cost is 10-20%. The equipment is small and light, 1/4 of the linear gas pedal, and the radiator weighs only 100 kg, which is convenient for placement, illumination of larger workpieces, and flexible movement. Because the linear gas pedal does not need the configuration of the carriage and yoke, although the thickness of the protective wall and linear gas pedal is basically equal (1.5m.), the height of the protective room, the area can be greatly reduced, the construction cost of the protective room for the linear gas pedal 50%. The modulator part is air-cooled instead of water-cooled, which reduces the failure link and is less affected by the environment.
Therefore, the inductive electron cyclotron is widely used in the casting and welding of large workpieces, bridges, concrete testing and other fields of nondestructive testing.
